I got the gallery opener in this issue of FREERIDE, which I’m totally AMPED about! This sequence shown here is the first of two back flips that Schleker the Machine did that afternoon.  On the second one I was determined to catch him at the perfect upside down moment with his bike square to me, and this is the pic in the gallery.  With the first flip the light peaked a little through the trees and hit him perfectly during the loop. No flash used, just the D700 at ISO 2500 with the 70-200mm @ 86mm, f2.8 and 1/1250 sec.

Also took the pics for the Megavalanche 2009 and I’ll write something about that soon too…
